The Pop up Shop that is..
We are coming to our final days at Tyrone Square and honestly, we can feel the weight lifting from our shoulders! Not because it wasn't working out, the exposure we received and inspiration we have from being in such a large arena has helped TAOM out TREMENDOUSLY! We were only supposed to be there through the holiday season and actually extended through January just so we had more time to re-focus and regroup for our next phase. We will be back in action at our original location, our true home in February.
Why are we going back you may ask?
I know some were excited for our venture in the mall and expected us to be there long term...and honestly, we even toyed around with the idea of it being permanent. But the truth is, it was hella exhausting. The demand of having to be there from when the mall opened to close was extremely difficult and too much of a commitment of our time. There was no time for us to be the true creatives we are, no time to spend with family, no time to think, no time to have time!
That has been our life since November 22nd. No days off (except for Christmas). I can't tell you when's the last time we had pedicures, my co-worker just asked me how my "helmet" was, she meant to say headache, but I'm sure she was thinking helmet because that's exactly what my hair looks like sitting on top of my head right now....
Listen, I know in order to be successful you have to work hard for what you want! Team No Sleep! But there's a time where you have to evaluate what's best for your success and make your decisions from that, and sleep is one of them...trust there's more but that's the one that I'm desperately missing! We just want to get back to doing things the way we want, when we want, how we want. There's so many rules that come with being under a big corporation that it's almost feeling like you're not working for yourself.
We have HUGE plans for our future, and feel so accomplished and content in the fact that we lived out one of the dreams we've had since we started, to be in such a setting was amazing. The people we've met, the artist we will continue to help build up, the models we are working with, and all the connections made!
2019 is going to be our biggest year yet with our Bridal Experience, we are looking forward to some renovations we have planned at the original location, and looking forward to having things back to how we want it to be, on OUR time and with OUR vision. The way we've run our business has always been based on what is BEST for TAOM at all times, we got exactly what we needed to re-inspire ourselves and get back to the actual work that we love.
Thankful for EVERY single person who gave us words of encouragement, came through and supported us at the Pop Up Shop and helped get the word out there about TAOM.
